"It's risky", said the experience.
"It's pointless", said reason.
"Give it a try!", whispered the heart.

... but, what is coaching
Coaching is a personal journey, and the coachee is solely responsible for the final outcome.
The coach is a guide along the way, the person who, with questions, tools and skills, accompanies the coachee along a journey of discovery and commitment that will allow to make the necessary choices to achieve the desired change and goal.
Without possibly realising it, you all have most likely already experienced some kind of coaching. The most common example is the sport coach at school or later at the gym. In those cases, the final goal could have been to win some sport events or achieve a certain ranking position in the first example, or to achieve certain weight or fitness performance in the latter.

You had a goal, but you didn’t know how to achieve it. The coach did not play for you the game, nor he/she run 10 km at your place. He guided you through a certain process (learning techniques, understanding situations and difficulties, putting into action what learned) that, by highlighting your potential and qualities, could allow you to achieve the final goal. A process that it was tailored for you.
Professional coaching is based on the same principle.
During a professional coaching process, you might have different goals and we will be using different techniques, but the overall strategy is the same.
COMMON QUESTIONS
IS COACHING FOR ME?
The prerequisite is that you want to be coached. Furthermore, coaching is for you if: - You feel ready for a challenge / you want to be challenged - You are ready to open up - You want to evolve and learn - You are ready to question yourself
IS COACHING THE RIGHT ANSWER FOR ME?
Yes, it is if: - You have a goal that you want to achieve: this may even mean wanting to find out what you want ... - You want to change "something" in your life (habits, beliefs, thoughts, behaviours, ...) - You want to tell yourself and believe that : "I can", "I know", "it's possible", "it's feasible",... (instead of "I can't", "I dont know", "it's impossible", "it's too hard") - You feel that you deserve more, but you don't dare or you don't know how to proceed - You want to start living "your" life - You want to feel and be in charge of your life
HOW DOES COACHING WORK ?
After a first session where we will have the opportunity to get to know each other and check if coaching could meet your needs and if you are ready, we can start! Depending on your needs, the duration of the process can vary from a few sessions to more than ten sessions. See the Services page for more details. The general coaching process consists of the following steps: 1. Clarification and definition of the coaching objective: what do you want to achieve at the end? 2. The process: the sessions alternate between reflection, practice and learning. Sessions: each session focuses on a "mini-goal", a small step towards the final goal. Each session is different, in the method, the tools, the subjects, the awareness, the challenge, but all will allow you to progress. At the end of each session, you will leave with tasks - chosen and / or accepted by you. An accepted task is one that you are committed to, primarily with yourself. Between sessions: this is where you will have the opportunity to put the learning from the session into practice, through the task and the reflections it generates. This progression will allow you to move forward and prepare for the next session. 3. Closure: the end of the process can mean several things: having achieved the goal, having learned the tools to make the change, having unblocked the aspects that were not allowing you to move forward. Now it's up to you to put everything into practice and enjoy the new chapter. 4.  Assessment: an assessment is made at the end of the process. Even if you feel that you are not yet 100% ready, it is important to interrupt the coaching to take time to practice and experiment with what you have learnt along the way. After a few months, a further review can be carried out, with a possible resumption of the coaching if necessary.
WHICH ARE OUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ?
I, the coach: - I am the guarantor and responsible for the coaching process - I discover, clarify and align with what you want to achieve - I remind you your responsibilities for the process and your commitments - I promote self-awareness - I help you in clarifying your issues and developing your solutions and strategies - I stimulate your capacities - I identify areas of inertia and obstacles to work on and overcome - I create a safe environment in the respect of confidentiality You, the coachee: - You draw an accurate picture of the situation - You express yourself as honestly as possible about your feelings and difficulties - You show openness - You trust your coach and the coaching process - You make decisions throughout the process - You keep your commitments - You carry out the agreed actions - You celebrate your successes :)
